The Ersatzers are all on stilts at the moment, or standing on each other's shoulders, desperately trying to reach up to take the moral high ground. They are all in a frenzy about the 'riot' at Brentford and the burning of Rangers team coach. No, they haven't finally caught up with Sooperally; it's a bus they're on about!
It's amazing how they can keep a straight face and accuse anybody of rioting. After the shameful displays in Manchester and the equally shameful displays by their supporters in Northern Ireland, you'd think that they would keep quiet about this sort of thing; but, no. A few dozen numpties ran on to the pitch at Brentford, causing no damage whatsoever and not fighting with anyone. The Brentford fans did not see anything worth bothering about while the newspapers have by-and-large ignored it. Of course, say the Ersatzers, this is because Peter Lawwell has the Scottish media in his pocket. The fact that English newspapers did not see it worth reporting must mean, then, that the same situation exists with the English media! Does Lawwell own Rupert Murdoch?
The usual chant of the Ersatz bigots is that 'it's in their DNA.' Of course, they never say this about one of their own. Lee McCulloch was almost sent off at the weekend in a FRIENDLY against FC Emmen for elbowing somebody in the face! He's still playing to his strengths, then. Meanwhile former Rangers 'star,' Stephen Hughes has been arrested for resisting arrest and attempted assault on a police officer, while wife-beater Paul Gascoigne has also been charged with assault. Some mob, eh? It must be in their DNA!
And the bus saga goes on. I just discovered today that the Easdales had £100,000 stolen from a safe in one of their depots earlier this month. Why the hell that sort of money was left in a bus depot is anybody's guess. Maybe it was due to be taken to the laundrette! And now another bus company's depot, housing Ersatz FC's new team bus, has been torched. The newspapers are blaming 'a thug' but the whole thing smacks of the dark days of the ice-cream wars to me. I remember back in the 80s going to the van in Castlemilk for a bottle of Irn Bru, only to be showered with glass when a shotgun was blasted at the other side of the van. That's how these people operate and they don't care who gets hurt!
It is also rather suspicious that the Bruce's bus depot also contained several gas canisters, a fact that seems to have been now omitted from the story. Why the hell would such items be left lying in a bus depot? Strangely, I posted this question on The Sun's webpage, only for it to be disallowed. They did allow, however, this gem: 'Don't worry bhoys! an eye for an eye.' So it seems that threats are deemed acceptable by The Sun!
One astute poster pointed out a telling aspect of this story: there seems to be more concern for a bus than there was for the life of Neil Lennon! Sooperally has been quick to condemn the 'yobs' responsible, yet there was not one word of condemnation coming from him, or anyone else at Ibrox for that matter, for the bigots that sent bombs and bullets through the post to the Celtic manager. It must be in their DNA right enough!
Some wag, calling himself BazzaPalooza posted this cracker: 'See when The Rangers get a new team bus, will it get the old one's service history?' Why is it that you never get anything as funny as that posted by an Ersatzer? It must be in their DNA!
Ally proudly shows off the replacement team bus.
