THE DAY OF RECKONING IS AT HAND

By the looks of things McColl, Murray et al have lost. Blin has done walking away and Mather has started a slanging match with Murray. Jack Irvine has started a smear campaign against all and sundry and the Ersatzers are no further forward in knowing who they should trust. As per usual, however, they all look for a sugar daddy to come in and won't part with any of their own cash, unless it's for a ten-bob juvenile season book. Mind you, the way things work at Ibrox you can hardly blame them. They buy shares in Rangers, only to be later told that they actually bought shares in a holding company. Then the new club offers them the chance to buy shares in what they all believe is the same club, even though they've now accepted the myth that the company and club are separate, so the 'same club' could start up again and then they'd have to fork out for shares in the 'same club' a third time!

Speaking of shares, an AGM must be held by the end of October and the supporters of Murray see this as a possible chance to get their own men in. We'll see. To the Ersatzers, however, financial nous and probity come a distant second to talking to the wrong people in deciding who is fit to run Ersatz FC. Leggat and others had a go at the Kray Twins for speaking to the enemy, in the shape of BBC Scotland, while the other side derides Murray for the same offence. Then there's the matter of the Jabba-less Daily Record, which Leggat hated and now loves because McColl and his cronies used it as their mouthpiece. It's enough to make your head spin!

On the subject of the BBC, I read a cracker on McMurdo's blog. An absolute banger posted to demand to know why Radio 5 did not mention the 'Famous Glasgow Rangers' after their all-conquering performance against the might of Arbroath FC. He points out that they mentioned Real Madrid's result. The conclusion he reaches as to why this anomaly occurred is that Real is a 'Catholic Team' and this shows the bias prevalent throughout the BBC! Meanwhile, another of the 'Free-Thinking' mob asked recently, on the same blog, if they were 'allowed' to watch STV! Sweet Jesus on a dinosaur!

Back to matters financial and Ersatz FC, or the holding company or whatever has decided that accounts will now run up to June of each year, instead of the usual November. Why this should be, I don't know but one enthusiastic Ersatzer sees it as getting them into Europe quicker! Try working that one out! The real reason is probably to hide something, as that seems to be the modus operandi for all financial dealings at Ibrox.

The big question, however, is are they going to be able to present properly audited accounts? Will these accounts be signed off? And, more importantly, will they prove that the club and company are separate by listing the club as an asset? And will anyone ever get to see the deeds to show who actually owns Ibrox? These, and other questions, will probably still be being asked this time next year, when the same club goes into liquidation and the same club starts up again.

This will be my last blog for a wee while. I'm moving house today and the internet won't start up at my new place until the end of the month, mainly because I left it too late to let them know I was moving! I have no doubt that plenty of nefarious, and hilarious deeds will be carried out under the Ersatz banner between now and then, so I'll have loads to write about. In the meantime, thanks for reading and how about leaving a comment to let me know that there are  real people out there!
