THE ABBA-JABBA HONEYMOON IS OVER

Well, it's time to pass round the Kleenex. Big Jabba and Bisto FC have parted company. Not only that; his going was expressed as nothing more than a footnote in reports about the statement from Ibrox about McColl etc. No big deal made. It's the same on the Bisto website, where all they had to say on Friday was:

"RANGERS today announce that Director of Communications James Traynor has left the Club."

And that's it. No best wishes for the future. No show of appreciation for whatever it was he did. In fact, there is nothing like the fulsome praise there was for him in the Daily Record when he left them. Surely they could at least have thanked him for helping to start all that 'same club' pish? Still, I'm willing to bet that he left with his fair share of gravy granules!

So what now for Traynor? I doubt he'd be welcomed by any newspaper in the country after his vilification of journalism in general in his ridiculous final column for the Daily Record. Would BBC Scotland have him back? I don't think that's a good idea either. Everybody knows now that he is not, and never was, a neutral commentator. His phone-ins would just end op with everyone laughing at him. Nor would he be a credible analyst anymore. I'm afraid the man has just become a figure of fun.

So he is either going to have to start up his own blog or write a tell-all book. Either way, is he going to have anything to say? What would his blog be about? Probably he would be in competition with Leggat in the out-of-touch headcase stakes. Or maybe he and Leggat could join forces and produce a combined alcohol-induced rant about Jack Irvine! I would suggest that would be his best bet as a book is out of the question. He was hardly one of the Ibrox movers and shakers, was he? And I doubt anybody riding on the gravy train ever confided in him, so he would have nothing whatsoever to write about. Unless, of course, he wants to have a greet of epic proportions about how bad all journalists are!

I mentioned earlier the statement from Bisto FC, which, at present, means Stockbridge and the Krays, decrying the Requisitioners. To paraphrase the statement, it was basically, 'Shut it, ya fannies!' It seems that the Requisitioners are going to get chibbed if they don't comply.

The Messiah, meanwhile, has run like hell. He made some ridiculous noises about both sides impressing him, which really means that neither did. He predicts serious trouble at the AGM and can see Bisto FC sliding into administration before too long. No doubt he'll pick up the club (or company!) up for a song when that happens. Probably that's why he was here; to try to play both sides off against each other and make things worse so that administration will come quicker!

When they do go into administration and they are docked points for going through a third such event, just wait and you'll hear them squealing about how it's a 'different club!' There'll be none of your 'same club/different company' then!

Part of the reason The Messiah has buggered off is the intransigence of certain shareholders. It is unclear whether he meant the Requisitioners or the secretive investors behind Blue Pitch Holdings and Margarita Holdings. There is a bit of a stink being created over the identities of these individuals, with demands for 'transparency' from the Requisitioners' corner. One or two of McMurdo's followers are beginning to ask questions as well. Why all the secrecy? According to Auld Merlin they are entitled to privacy, a word which he employs frequently instead of 'secrecy.'

McMurdo claims to know who these folk are and points out that the SFA and SPFL have no problems with them. But then, they had no problem with Whyte either, did they? This is a real sticking point for Bisto FC moving forward as all manner of wild speculation is being made about who these folk are. What have they got to hide?

Finally, I think some strong e-mails need to be sent to the Press Complaints Commission. The Daily Record is at it again! Not content with publishing a picture of Stockbridge's house they have now published a picture of Still Game's Ford Kiernan's luxurious abode! Oh, wait, they were reporting that he has actually sold the property. I wonder who bought it. Maybe Big Jabba with his severance pay?

STOP PRESS

The BBC has announced that James Traynor is to star in the new series of Doctor Who.
